Presentation

Even though my presentation was really short, (1 minute! >.<) I think I did a fairly good job. I pretty much have my thesis figured out. I know what type of identity I'm looking for. I'm looking to find out what really is a fashionista and what it takes to become one. The blog that I'm looking at sometimes has more than 5 posts in 1 day. So that shows me the bloggers have a lot of information on so many new things coming out. Whether it's celebrity gossip, new streetwear, new up coming designers, or any events and parties going on that maybe even we can attend! Now wouldn't that be fun? I love how the blog posts seasonal trends, know what's in for this season, and what you should leave back in summer! I guess to improve my presentation I could elaborate on the fashionista persona and like Prof. Thompson said, make a connection to the websites that are linked to "Fashionista.com"

Found New Blog. Yaaaay!

So, as interesting as SweetTooth's blog was, it didn't quite keep me engaged as I wanted it to. SweetTooth hadn't posted any new blogs, and reading about sweets was getting boring. So Professor Thompson introduced me to a new blog that was far more interesting than reading about desserts. Fashionista.com is the new blog I will be following. Like I said in my earlier blog, a blog about fashion was something I'd rather be reading than a blog about desserts. It's a great blog that talks about all the new designers, fashion styles, celebrity gossip, and so much more. It consists of blogs posted by new people all the time, but I think I came up with an "identity" to argue about. I will examine these blogs to come to the conclusion of what a "fashionista" is. What makes you a fashionista, and what it takes to be a fashionista. So stay tuned!

Research

So far in my research I've just been reading the recent blogs from SweetTooth. She hasn't posted any blogs lately from the last time I've checked so I'm waiting to see if she's found any new sweet spots. It's very interesting to know the different variety of sweets we have here in Seattle. There's an assortment of pastries, cupcakes, candies, cookies and etc...Not only are the sweets from Seattle, but she lists different shops in Greenlake and Capitol Hill, and all different sides of downtown. From the blogs I'm finding out that she's very down to earth and loves what she does. I mean, who wouldn't love to taste different sweets!

Interests in Blogging

Shopping, fashion, music, and food are my main interests. I could spend a whole day shopping and eating while listening to music. So i'm hoping to read blogs about food, especially sweet food. I have a love for frozen yogurt and cupcakes. I'm most interested in the different desserts and dessert shops we have here in Seattle, so hopefully I find a blog that will talk about these things.

Who am I as a writer?

As a writer Iconsider myself to be a builder. I am learning and growing as a writer from every essay and paper I write. I'm in the process of learning new writing techniques and thinking skills.
